Convert any image or 3d model to Minecraft blocks!
BlockBlender is an addon made specifically for Blender that turns anything into Minecraft blocks in real time using geometry nodes.
It is great for Minecraft building inspiration, and generating gradients.
It's easy enough for beginners, as long as you know the basics of how to navigate Blender. Customizing options are listed in a section below.
The schematic exporter is now included!
This exporter allows you to import builds directly into Minecraft!
This .schem exporter is a thrid-party addon made by Bryan Valdez.
Please refer to the directions on this page for help with the exporter.Texture baking
For texture baking, I recommend this free addon called BakeLab by Specoolar. I am not affiliated with the creator, it's just an addon I've used that works well for me.
BakeLabWhat can it be used for?
- Convert any 3d model to Minecraft blocks
- Convert any image to blocks
- Model in real-time as your creation is turned into blocks
- Turn text into blocks
- Make complex block gradients easily
- Plan Minecraft builds using the layer option
Options
BlockBlender is very customizable. Here are the options for the full version. The free version has the same options but without the block categories.
Blocks are sorted into categories to make selection easy. You can also make your own selection by moving blocks into different collections.
Easily control colors using the included palette. You can also paint with vertex colors or use your own images.
There are now 3 dedicated tools for making gradients.
Add more block variety by using the noise option.
Plan your builds using the layer option, so you can build from the bottom up.
